SURFACE PREPARATION : New Galvanized Iron Surfaces 1) Apply ACGT-0369 Alpha Chroma Galva Treat Solution and rinse with clear water. 2) Wipe the surface with a cloth moistened with ACT-1610 Alpha Chroma Lacquer Thinner to eliminate unreacted Alpha Chroma Galva-Treat Solution. Do not use turpentine or mineral spirits since they leave an oily deposit on the surface. Repainting - Corroded 1) Remove rust by wire brushing and sanding. 2) Treat the area with ACRC-0276 Alpha Chroma Rust Converter. 3) Wipe with a clean cloth moistened with ACT-1610 Alpha Chroma Lacquer Thinner to eliminate unreacted rust converter. Repainting -Uncorroded 1) Remove any flaking or peeling paint. 2) Sand, clean, and dust off. APPLICATION SYSTEM: Brush or Roller New or Repainting Primer: Apply one (1) coat of Welcoat Metal Primer. 1st Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of Welcoat Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel or Welcoat Quick Dry Enamel. 2nd Topcoat: Apply one (1) coat of Welcoat Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel or Welcoat Quick Dry Enamel.
