LIME-X Descaling Powder is a super cleaner that removes scale deposits to your appliances. It removes mineral deposits which clog and impair your equipment and allows machines to perform at optimal levels. The build-up of mineral scale is a threat to the performance and durability of coffee and espresso machines. Mineral scale build-up can impact your machine’s boiler, preventing water from reaching its optimal brewing temperature. At insufficient temperatures, it is impossible to extract the full flavor from your coffee. Mineral scale build-up can also clog water flow, and if not removed, can cause a machine to stop working. 1. Add 40 grams of LIME-X (approx. 4 tbsps.) per 500ml of lukewarm water. 2. Stir to dissolve 3. Add descaling solution directly to the machine's water reservoir or chamber, or as recommended by the manufacturer. 4. Run half of a brew cycle: Start a brew cycle. Midway through the brew cycle, turn off the coffee maker and let it sit for an hour. Note: This is for especially bad build-ups (if you haven’t cleaned your machine in ages). If you do this regularly, you can probably get away without the rest period. 5. Finish the brew cycle: After an hour, turn on the coffee maker and let the brew cycle finish. 6. Drain the descaling solution 7. Run a water cycle: Fill the chamber with just water and let the machine run. Repeat two more times, allowing your coffee machine to cool slightly between brews.
