Prevents Water Leaks in your Indoor AC Unit No Costly Pump Down Cleaning Air conditioners use condensation lines to drip water away from the unit to the outside of your home. All that excess moisture is removed from the home by means of the condensate drain line. If it’s working as it should, the moisture just disappears down the drain and we never have to think about it. But every now and then, those drains will get clogged, or the pans will develop a leak. That not only prevents the moisture from being disposed of down the drain, but it can create excessively moist conditions, leading to mold and mildew. A clogged drain can also result in flooding — which can ruin floors and carpets. SIGNS YOUR AC DRAIN LINE IS CLOGGED Indoor air circulates through the evaporator coil, dust, dirt and other airborne particles can be trapped by moisture. Build-up of this debris can be carried off as condensate drains from the coil. Over time, it can become trapped in your condensate drain line, causing blockage. A clogged AC drain line symptoms include: • Musty, moldy smell near your indoor unit or in air from the registers/vents • Standing water near the indoor unit • Water damage in areas near the indoor unit • AC system is not cooling your home Direction to Use 1. Turn off your air conditioner. 2. Locate your condensate drain line. 3. Dilute 100 mL of Drain-Treat to 400 mL of Water 4. Identify the access point on the drain line. If you do not know where your drain line is located, add and flush the Drain-Treat Solution at the top of your Fins. 5. Let the solution sit for 30 minutes. 6. Rinse thoroughly with water 7. Repeat each month.
