Painting Over Flexicrete If the project requires a specific aesthetic color scheme, follow these steps to paint over the Flexicrete membrane: - Curing: Wait at least 7 days for the membrane to fully cure and for the pH levels to stabilize. - Cleaning: Ensure the surface is free of any white salty deposits (efflorescence) or dust. - Priming: Use an alkali-resistant primer. This is crucial because cementitious membranes are highly alkaline and can "burn" through standard paint colors. -Topcoat: Apply your desired color scheme using a high-quality acrylic or elastomeric paint.
