5 pcs Bouganvilla (Pink) Stem Cuttings per pack around 12 inches in height. How to propagate bouganvilla thru cuttings. Bougainvillea can be propagated by taking cuttings 6 inches long. You can directly plant the stem in a pot with soil. Place it in a shaded area for the first two or more months..when the leaves and roots are already established , you can transfer it in a direct sunlight. Can plant in small pot. Bougainvillea performs well in a relatively small container where its roots are slightly restricted. ... Use a regular potting soil without a high level of peat moss; too much peat retains moisture and may result in root rot. Any container used for growing bougainvillea must have at least one drainage hole. Bouganvilla needs direct sunlight for it to give more flowers.
